Parish Governance

As a Parish within the Church in Wales, we are bound to follow the regulations documented within the The Constitution of the Church in Wales

PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL (PCC)

Our PCC is the executive committee of the Parish of Llantwit Fardre. It consists of our Parish Priest, churchwardens and representatives of the laity.

The council is responsible for the financial affairs of the church parish and the maintenance of its assets (our church) and for promoting the mission of the church.

Every year, an Annual Vestry Meeting convenes (before 30th April) to undertake the following:

  1. The Parochial Church Council Annual Report and Financial Statements (in accordance with the provisions of the Charities Acts);
  2. Other reports in as far as they are not included in the PCC Annual Report;
  3. Elections of members to the PCC.

Upon election of the PCC, it meets on a regular basis (normally every 6 to 8 weeks) to discuss and consider matters regarding the management of the church.

A standard agenda for each PCC is as follows:

  1. Open with Prayers
  2. Apologies
  3. Minutes of last meeting
  4. Matters Arising
  5. AOB previously notified
  6. Date of next meeting
