St. Illtud's Church, Parish of Llantwit Fardre

Baptism

Holy Baptism is a tremendously important step in the life of a child or adult, and we’re delighted that you’re considering this.

A baptism is a time of great joy for the family and an opportunity for the church to support and welcome those being baptised as they begin their Christian journey.

Baptism is usually offered on a Sunday during our 10:00am Sung Holy Eucharist Service.

If you would like to know more about Holy Baptism, or arranging a Service of Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child please contact us.

Holy Matrimony

The Church believes that Marriage is a gift from God and we are very pleased you are considering getting married in a church – a wonderful place to begin your married life.

It’s important to plan and prepare carefully, and as much in advance as possible.

If you would like to know more about getting married in St. Illtud’s Church or arrange a Service of Blessing or Renewal of Marriage Vows, then please contact us.

Funeral

The Church serves the community of Llantwit Fardre and is regularly asked to conduct funeral and memorial services.  These services are usually held in the parish church, St. Illtud’s.

The Church is a place of prayer and a beacon of hope; a great comfort to families at such a difficult time.  However, on occasion the Priest is asked to lead a service directly at a local crematorium, cemetery or private chapel of rest.

Enquiries, in the first instance are usually made through a Funeral Director who will then liaise between the family, the priest and the church. But, if you would like to make an enquiry directly with us, please do so.
